POLWA embarks on peace walk in Tamale

The Northern Regional branch of the Police Wives Association (POLWA) has embarked on a peace walk in the Tamale Metropolis to sensitize the public to the need to ensure violent free in the November polls.

The peace walks which was organized by the association as part of its nationwide peace campaign was under the theme “Think peace, Eat Peace and Drink peace”.


The National President of POLWA,Charity Kudalor said the peace march was part of the association`s efforts to champion the course of peace in the country.

According to her the march was also an effort by the association to support their husbands in their quest to ensure peace, and security in the November polls.

She admonished Ghanaians to avoid violence and unite as one people to promote peaceful co-existence for national development.

The Northern Regional police Commander, DCOP Ken Yeboah, commended POLWA for undertaken such key initiative and appealed to the public to support the association promote peace in the country.

He also appealed to the media to ensure political neutrality in their reportage to ensure incidents free in the elections.
