May Day celebrations may be unenthusiastic - ICU

The Tema Regional Officer of the Industrial and Commercial Workers Union, ICU, Eleazor Nyanu, says it is likely that this year’s May Day in Tema will not be enthusiastic as compared to previous years.

Speaking in an interview with GBC’s Obonu News in Tema, he said this is because most industries in Tema are reluctant to release their workers to join in the celebration.

Mr. Nyaunu attributed the situation to low productivity due to increased utility bills.

The Deputy Secretary in-charge of Operations of the ICU, Morgan Ayawine touched on the need for pace before, during and after the November election.
