Stanbic Bank supports NHC building project Stanbic Bank has presented a cheque for GH¢25,000.00 in support of the construction of an office complex for the National House of Chiefs (NHC) at Asenua in the Kwabre East District. It was in response to a request made to the bank by the chiefs. Mr Akoi Larbi, the Communications Manager of the bank, said this was part of its corporate social responsibility. He underlined the bank’s determination to continue to be associated with efforts at transforming the living conditions of the people. Mr Larbi said it was on the basis of this that the bank had contributed to the Otumfuo Education Fund and girl-child education. He said its focus was not only to aid the growth of businesses but to help promote the development of the society. Wulugu Naba Pugansoa, Naa Professor John S. Naila, President of the NHC, said the House was grateful to the bank for the gesture and gave the assurance that the money would be used for the intended purpose. Construction works on the office building, started by the Government in 2006, had stalled because of difficulty with funding. GNA
