Ghana records 2,469 fire outbreaks in first quarter 2016 The Ghana National Fire Service, GNFS, recorded 2,469 fire outbreaks across the country between January and March this year. This represents an increase of 21.2% as compared to last year's figure of 2,036. Majority of these outbreaks were caused by electrical faults. Briefing the media in Accra Monday, the Acting Public Relations Officer of the Service, Timothy Osarfo Affum said the situation is having a toll on the logistics of the Fire Service. GBC
