Robert Mugabe accuses Zimbabwean Presidential hopefuls of wishing him dead

Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe has accused potential successors of wishing him dead. 

He has therefore asked supporters to unite against foreign enemies who he said, want to destroy the Country. 

Mr. Mugabe said his heir must be chosen democratically, adding that his wife, Grace, will not automatically inherit the presidency. 

He told a meeting of about ten thousand veterans of Zimbabwe's 1970s independence war, that his frequent trips to Malaysia and Singapore is feeding newspaper reports that he is ill and sometimes dying and this is stoking succession fights in the ruling ZANU-PF. 

Mr Mugabe 92, is Africa's oldest leader and has held power since independence from Britain in 1980.
