Veterinary expert advises exporters to examine fish and meat before exporting

A Deputy Director of the Ghana Veterinary Services, Dr Joseph Awuni has advised exporters of fish and meat products to contact its offices for the necessary examination and certification before they export their products to the European and other markets abroad.  

He said young exporters have lost so much money because the EU countries do not accept fish and meat products which have not been clinically examined by the Ghana Veterinary Services.  

Dr. Awuni who is in-charge of the Veterinary Laboratory in Accra was speaking to Radio Ghana on the mandate of the Service and other regulatory authorities.
