Teachers urged to explore all opportunities to support students The Deputy Director of Education in charge of Management Services of the GES, Dr Stephen Adu has called on head teachers to undertake their duties with all seriousness and dedication. According to Dr Adu, the country spends over 30 percent of the national budget on education and basic education takes the largest of the budget. Adding that, the government and people of Ghana demand accountability for the huge investments in education. Dr. Adu was speaking at the 7th Biannual Conference of Heads of Basic Schools (COHBS) in Accra and urged head teachers to explore all opportunities to support students under their care to learn and achieve high performance.
