Man Under Arrest For Purportedly Plotting To Kill President Mahama


The BNI has detained and is investigating Mr Kwame Gyebi, a resident of Dzorwulu in Accra on grounds of an assassination plot on President John Dramani Mahama.

According to Security sources, Mr Gyebi was overheard saying the President will drop while delivering his speech on 6th March and that he knew what he was talking about.

BNI has confirmed that he was initially arrested by the Ghana Police on 25th February, 2016 and handed over to them for further investigations considering the implications of the plot.

Investigations are ongoing to ascertain the motives, whether he was acting alone or with others.
