The Daily Graphic says for there to be peaceful election come November 7, it behoves stakeholders to start working towards it now. The paper is of the view that Ghana cannot afford to lose its hard earned reputation when it comes to conducting peaceful elections. The Graphic is thankful that President Mahama has not spared any opportunity to assure the nation of peaceful elections.

The Ghanaian Times also writes on the upcoming general election. The paper is concerned that the EC and its chairperson are going through challenges, including accusations and counter-accusation. The paper believes the EC as a public institution is not above criticism but these must be to make it better and not destroy it. The Times says all must endeavour to support the EC to regain its public trust to conduct a credible election in November.

The Herald welcomes the confirmation of John Kudalor as IGP. It says Mr Kudalor must understand that he has become an IGP at a very difficult time as this is an election year and also a period when robbery cases and mysterious murders are on the ascendency.  The Herald wishes him well saying his predecessor has left him big shoes to fill.
