Suspected Killer Of MP For Abuakwa North Confesses To Killing Him

The man arrested by the Police in connection with the murder of the Abuakwa North MP, Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu, has reportedly confessed to committing the crime. 

A source at the Regional Police Command told the Daily Graphic the suspect whose identity is being protected for now confessed to Police interrogators he stabbed the MP. 

Three mobile phones were retrieved, two of them belonging to the slain MP. 

The third phone, according to the Graphic is password protected. 

The suspect is currently at the Accra Regional Police Command being questioned. 

Two other persons were picked up in connection with the killing. 

The Police are still on the hunt for the arrest of other suspects. 

Police investigations showed the MP suffered two stab wounds, one to his rib, and the other to his abdomen. 

The wife of the MP was said to be in another room when the incident occurred. 

Five people including a security man, the driver and some others at the residence were picked up by the Police to help with investigations. 

The suspect is believed to be an ex-convict who benefited from the Justice for All Programme.
