Unknown assailants attack Bole DCE convoy Some unknown assailants have attacked a convoy of the Bole DCE killing a soldier and injuring several others. A source told Radio Savannah that the DCE was travelling to “Dollar Power” a mining community on the Ghana Ivory Coast boarder when the incident occurred. It is not yet known whether the attackers are armed robbers and why they attacked the DCE. However the area has suffered robbery attacks recently. The community is also close to the Ivorian border and formerly a rebel stronghold. Many West African nationals are involved in ‘galamsey’ operations in the Bole District. The Northern Regional Police Public Relations Officer ASP Ebenezer Tetteh confirmed the incident in an interview with radio savannah. He also confirmed that a military man has been killed. He said a joint military and Police force has been dispatched to the area. A source at the Bole District Hospital told Radio Savannah that the DCE is safe and was spotted at the hospital helping the injured. GBC
