Zika outbreak linked to thousands of Brazillian babies

Brazil's Health Minister, Marcelo Castro says the country has more than four thousand suspected and four hundred confirmed cases of microcephaly, a condition caused by the Zika virus among newborn babies. 

The announcement comes as health ministers from Mercosur-member countries gather in the Uruguay capital, Montevideo for the first regional conference on the Zika outbreak.  

Mr. Castro says experts from the US will arrive in the country for a high-level meeting during which they will determine  the agenda for developing a vaccine.
