Chiefs must stem disputes in their jurisdiction - IGP

The Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), John Kudalor, has called on Chiefs and opinion leaders to endeavour to resolve disputes within their jurisdiction rather than allow them to degenerate into intractable conflicts before roping in the Police to maintain law and order.  

In an interview with GBC’s Radio Ghana, Mr. Kudalor said the Police Service is currently over-stretched in terms of numbers in view of the conflict in Bunkpurugu and other trouble spots across the country, hence, the need to avoid acts that eventually require Police intervention.
