Reactions to sentence of President Mahama's 'gunman' A legal practitioner, Dr. Morris Ampaw has raised eye-brows over the swift manner the 36 year old man, Charles Antwi who stormed the Ringway branch of the Assemblies of God Church was sentenced. He said there are so many criminal cases pending at the courts and wondered why this man’s case was fast tracked. In Mr. Ampaw's opinion, the gunman was not given a fair hearing. A law lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Journalism, GIJ, Lawyer Osei Kwadwo also says enough time should have been given the gunman to defend himself before being sentenced. He told Radio Ghana that more time should have been spent to ascertain whether he did that on his own volition or it was somebody who influenced him. GBC
