Work on Kaneshie footbridge to begin soon - GHA The Ghana Highway Authority, GHA, says it has secured funding to start repair works on the Kaneshie footbridge. Already, an assessment on what needs to be done has been conducted. The Authority said this in reaction to a Radio Ghana report on the state of the Kaneshie footbridge. The GHA said it has not abandoned the bridge, as funding is a major challenge. The Director of Public Affairs of the Authority, Norbert Quarmor, in an interview said repair works will start by the end of this week. Mr. Quarmor urged the AMA to help clear hawkers off the bridge. Reacting to frustrations of the public on pot holes found on some roads, Mr. Quarmor said the Authority will soon start filling pot holes and asked the public to bear with the GHA as it takes steps to address their frustrations.
