The Daily Graphic believes that the introduction of the element of performance contracts by the Local Government Service to the MMDCEs and MMDCDs will make them discharge their duties diligently. Besides that, it will offer a reference point that will determine if they are on the right track. The Graphic believes that performance contracts must be signed and must be workable documents written in clear, unambiguous language that will be understood by all including those not party to the contracts. 

The Ghanaian Times expresses concern about diseases currently killing Ghanaians at a very fast rate.  These are cardiovascular, (heart attack and stroke) cancer and chronic respiratory diseases. According to the Paper, the Brong-Ahafo Regional Chairperson of the District Directors of Health Services Group, Bedima Duut said these diseases are fast wiping out the Ghanaian populace, because they are not engaging in physical exercises. The Times is therefore asking the public to undergo medical checks at least once every year to know their health status and seek medical attention where necessary.
