Last batch of national service postings out The Management of the National Service Scheme, (NSS), has released the second batch of placements of ten thousand three hundred and eighty-eight (10,388) national service personnel for the 2015/2016 service year. This brings the total to sixty-four thousand two hundred and seventy-seven (64,277) national service personnel deployed so far. According to a statement signed by the Acting Executive Director of the Scheme, Dr. Michael Kpessa-Whyte, the personnel deployed in this batch will serve in modules such as Educational Support, Agri-business, Urban Traffic Management and Urban Sanitation Management. The rest are Community Health, Rural Development, Private Sector Support, and General Administration in the various Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies, and other User Agencies across the country. The statement emphasized that the 2015/2016 service will begin on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. It therefore called on prospective national service personnel to log onto www.nss.gov.gh to check their placements and proceed to their postings to go through registration processes at the Scheme’s regional offices across the country before Tuesday, August 25. The statement reiterates the scheme will not change postings and urged all prospective national service personnel to accept their placements as part of their contributions towards national development.
