Accra: 2015 World Population Day launched with focus on correctional centres The Deputy Director of Prisons in-charge of the Senior Correctional Centre, Chris Larvie, says Ghana has not given the needed attention to the challenges facing the youth in ensuring their total transformation and re-integration into society. He said the youth in confinement are denied basic needs such as good nutritional meals and quality education. Mr. Larvie cited the present condition of the Correctional Centre where inmates are fed on one cedi, eighty pesewas a day coupled with the inability to provide simple health care. Mr. Larvie was speaking at the launch of the 2015 World Population Day in Accra. GBC
