Esienimpong building collapse kills mother, child Reports from the Ashanti Region say a building has collapsed killing a woman and a four year old boy yesterday at Esienimpong in the Ejisu-Juaben Municipality. Two daughters of the woman aged about five and two years who sustained broken limbs have been rushed to a nearby hospital for medical care. An eye witness, Douglas Owusu Ansah, told Radio Ghana that the incident occurred at about 4 pm today. According to Mr. Owusu Ansah, the woman known as Amaliya in the community was relocating from the weak structure in which she was with the two children to safety during rainfall accompanied by a storm. He noted that it was in the course of the relocation that part of the weak mud house collapsed on them killing the four-year old boy said to have been left in her care by a neighbour and Amaliya instantly while her own two children sustained injury. Personnel from the Ejisu Divisional Police have conveyed the body of the boy and also to start investigations to ascertain the actual cause of the disaster. GBC
