THE DAILY GRAPHIC: hopes that with the launch of the Efiase project and other interventions prisons in the country will not only be given the needed facelift but will become the reform centers they are expected to be. The paper calls for an improvement in the healthcare system and the   establishment of a prisons hospital with well trained and dedicated health professionals. The Graphic says there is the need to ensure that anyone who goes to prison returns better off, not worse off so they can contribute their quota to nation-building.


THE GHANAIAN TIMES: calls on the the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) to invoke its powers to punish people who sell or offer for sale unhealthy food for human or animal consumption. The Paper says it is satisfied that the FDA has finally shut down two Chinese restaurants in Dansoman and East Legon who use expired Chinese canned food products, but more needs to be done to ensure they do not contravene the sanction.
