The Ghanaian Times expresses delight in the two landmark deals by the government with General Electric, ENI and VITOL to generate 750 and 125 megawatts of power in 2016 and 2018. The paper hopes that when the project is completed the power plant will transform the power situation in the country. It says government and its partners should work fervently to see to the completion of the projects on the agreed dates. 

The Daily Graphic appeals to the public to help in the fight against Sim Box fraud. According to the paper, the activities of Sim Box fraudsters have been going on for many years now, therefore the arrest of the six alleged Sim box fraudsters last Monday is welcomed news to the State, the telecommunications Companies and telephone subscribers. The paper says the more than GH¢ 100 million loss to the state in just five months could have been used to undertake development projects. The arrest will therefore serve as a deterrent to all those who are indulging in the crime or have intention to do so.
