Government Assures Of Adequate Supply Of Drugs The Ministry of Health has pegged the cost of items destroyed at the Central Medical Stores in Tema at over GH¢ 237 million. Items lost in the fire outbreak include essential medicines, medical consumables, medical equipment, HIV/AIDS medicines, test kits, anti-malaria medicines, condoms and Ebola Protective Equipment. The Sector Minister, Kwaku Agyemang-Mensah told newsmen National Security had been informed to initiate investigations into the fire outbreak. Dr Agyemang Mensah assured the public of consistent supply of medicine. He said the fire outbreak will not affect medical supplies and announced stop gap measures to mitigate the impact of the incident. The Chief Director at the Ministry of Health, Dr Sylvester Anemana says the ministry's inability to insure its building is due to budgetary constraints. GBC
