Sierra Leone expresses gratitude to Ghana in the fight of EVD outbreak



President Ernest Bai Koroma of Sierra Leone has expressed his gratitude to the government and people of Ghana for supporting his country in dealing with the Ebola outbreak.
 
He has requested Ghana to also support the nomination and vote for Dr. Samura Kamara, Sierra Leone's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation to become the next President of the Pan African Bank. 

Dr. Kamara presented a special letter and his CV to the Vice President, who received it on behalf of President Mahama at the Flagstaff House in Accra. He said with the support of the international community, Sierra Leone is likely to achieve zero rate infection and death from Ebola by the end of the first quarter of this year. 

Vice President Amissah-Arthur said Ghana will continue to support Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea to rebuild their health systems which collapsed following the ebola outbreak. In line with this, government has offered to train their health personnel in Ghana. 

On Dr. Kamara's bid for the Presidency of the Pan African Bank, Vice President Amissah-Arthur hoped he would be the preferred choice so that he can bring his immense experience to bear on the activities of the Bank of Africa. 

Dr. Kamara said there is joint effort among Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea to contain the viral disease in future after possibly wiping out the current infection after march, this year. 

The Sierra Leonian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, was optimistic of becoming the next President of the Pan African Bank.
