MMT workers deny locking out Deputy MD's premise 

Workers of the Metro Mass Transit (MMT) Company have denied locking out the Deputy Managing Director who has been accused of being behind the missing 12 buses.  

According to the Local Union Chairman, the workers were only having a peaceful demonstration to demand that Mr. Duazah stay out of office until investigations into the matter are completed.  

The workers on Monday went on a sit down strike.  

This prompted the Minister of Transport, Dzifa Attivor to intervene.  

She asked the Board to convene a meeting to resolve the impasse and investigate the matter. 

However, against the workers' expectatio, the Deputy Managing Director came to work today. 

Early on reports said the workers had locked out the Deputy MD, and deflated tyres of his official car.  

The police were then called in and Mr. Dzuazah was whisked away in a van.  

But the local Union Chairman, Joseph Kofi Ahenkorah, says this is not true as it was only a peaceful demonstration.
