Drivers must comply with new fares – Transport Council

The General Secretary of the Ghana Road Transport Coordinating Council, Alhaji Aliyu-Baba says the council will take action against commercial drivers who do not comply with the new fares. 

He gave the assurance that the council will see to it that all drivers charge the approved fares. 

He apologised for the delay in communicating the new development to  the various unions but quickly added that it is not right for drivers to determine how much to charge passengers when their regulators have directed them to do otherwise.
